About Rosa and Company

About the owner and business:

Hi! I’m Rosa Cisneros. I’m an architectural designer, project management expert, and your trusted general contractor.

Rosa & Company, founded in 2006, is a Latina-owned full-service design and construction company based in Southern California. Our experienced team services Los Angeles County, Orange County, San Bernardino County, Riverside County, and part of San Diego County.

The spiral stairs in Mexico:

Until age 10, I sang in the children’s church choir in Mexico. Every Saturday morning, I admired the stone walls while walking up a wooden spiral staircase for choir practice. I was fascinated and intrigued by the way those stairs were built. Every time I took a step, I tried to figure out how each step worked and how it was carved.

As a child, I always wanted to know how things were built. My mom and I would attend services at a church that was under construction. I remember feeling scared that the bricks being used to build a vaulted ceiling would fall on us. I wanted to know why they wouldn’t fall, and my mom explained it was because an architect designed it that way. It was then that I knew I wanted to be an architect! I wanted the challenge of creating beautiful spaces that made people feel safe and secure.

Years later, I shared my plan to study architecture with my grandfather. He revealed that the wooden spiral staircase I loved was built by my great-grandfather, which filled me with amazement and a sense of pride.

Bringing a vision to life:

My love for architecture led me to earn a Bachelor of Architecture degree at California State Polytechnic University in Pomona and study architecture in Florence, Italy. I went on to earn my Master’s of Business Administration at Biola University. I have 20 years of experience as an architectural designer and 15 years of experience managing complex construction projects.

Despite what you hear, you don’t truly understand design and construction until you’re out of school and working. Working in the field, I quickly saw the disconnect between the design and construction teams and how that affected our projects.

Poor communication between both teams caused misunderstandings, errors, and delays. Designs exceeding the construction budget led to additional costs. Incomplete or unclear drawings resulted in misinterpretations and mishaps during construction. Design changes consistently caused timeline setbacks.

The good news:

When you hire Rosa & Company, you get an expert designer and construction manager in one. The days of miscommunication, delay, and budget issues are over! We take pride in our work and always care about your satisfaction. We make the process of getting your project built smooth and easy so that you:

  • Don’t have to worry about miscommunication! There won’t be any “finger-pointing” between the design and construction team because everything will be done by us together!
  • Will stay within your budget. We will provide you with a detailed proposal that will include the cost of materials and labor. You won’t be left with unexpected expenses!
  • Get your much-needed ADU or home addition that aligns with your vision while giving you superior quality and attention to detail.

You have a choice! You can hire a designer and contractor separately, OR you can choose to partner with us and enjoy the benefit of having the best of both worlds in one unified team!
